Have a Blissful Break in Espoo

The city's beautiful nature invites you to enjoy activities on land and at sea. Espoo is like a snapshot of Finland in miniature. Southern Espoo dishes out culture, events, the delights of the shoreline and the archipelago, as well as plenty of shopping opportunities. Heading north, you will find enchanting lakes, rural views and old county houses. Meanwhile, Nuuksio National Park offers wilderness experiences. Metro (underground rail) will take you to nearby forests, museums or the seaside, while city bikes and rowboats are available as means of transport around the metropolitan area when weather permits.

One of the best-known destinations in Espoo is the WeeGee Exhibition Centre, which contains EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, EspooCity Museum KAMU, Finnish Toy Museum Hevosenkenkä, the Finnish Museum of Horology and Futuro House.

The 40-kilometre Espoo Waterfront walkway Rantaraitti follows the seaside from Laajalahti to Kivenlahti. Walk, cycle or jog, and spend time in cafés and restaurants. Travel to the seaside by underground: the sea is under a kilometre from the nearest Metro station.
