KILDEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE - DAY 1
Kilden Performing Arts Centre in Kristiansand is the home of Agder Regional Theatre, Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and Opera Sør (the regional opera company). The centre also hosts an array of other cultural events. With the breadth and quality of its programming, Kilden is Southern Norway’s cultural powerhouse, moving and enthusing audiences.
Kilden Performing Arts Centre is located on the waterfront in Kristiansand, next to the fish market – at the entrance to Kristiansand harbour. With a gross area of 16,500 square metres, it is difficult not to notice this cultural landmark in Southern Norway.
Not only are the halls magnificent in this building, but the spectacular foyer is a natural location for mingling and events. Here you will find the café, box offices, cloak rooms and bars.
Welcome to a unique Kilden experience!
CLARION HOTEL ERNST, KRISTIANSAND - DAY 2
Clarion Hotel Ernst is the perfect choice for everyone who expects a little bit more than just a bed for the night. Club Clarion plays great music and our restaurant Ernst Cuisine allows you to indulge in fabulous food. 200 unique rooms, 19 modern conference rooms, a restaurant and a bar make us a lively spot for socialising in Kristiansand.
Clarion Hotel Ernst is located in central Kristiansand. The shopping street Markens is within easy reach, and attractions like Bystranda, Fiskebrygga, Odderøya and the cultural centre Kilden are accessible on foot. The train station and the bus terminal are just a few blocks away from the hotel, and the airport coach goes directly to Kjevik.
Clarion Hotel Ernst was completely renovated and reopened in autumn 2010. The hotel’s distinguished traditions have been kept intact but are now mixed with a modern, international design and exciting, contemporary art. The result is something you have never experienced before. “Staying at Ernst used to be like entering a country house or luxury villa. We now focus on communicating a sense of being abroad. We are located in Kristiansand, but the interior and the art could be from New York or Paris”, explains Sune Nordgren, the man behind the artistic design.
