Gert-Jan van Wijk is the European Sales Director of travel audience and heading the company’s internationalization efforts. He is a 15-year veteran in digital media sales and the international online sphere, with experience in e-commerce, publishing and digital monetization.
In his second year with travel audience, he is leading his team in the expansion into Scandinavia, Russia, Turkey, Poland, and Italy. His international experience started in the Netherlands where he joined the Telegraaf Media Group and also worked for one of eBay’s subsidiaries marktplaats.nl as Sales Manager, where he developed the media sales from scratch into a national A-brand player.
Prior to joining travel audience, Gert-Jan was the Department Head of Advertising at mobile.de, Germany’s biggest car classifieds player, where he lead the company’s international premium direct sales in parallel with the new yield and data strategy, including mobile and programmatic advertising.
Gert-Jan is result oriented leader who thrives in an international B-to-B marketing environment, who is using his industry and marketing know-how to branch out into the travel marketing together with the company.
