#DTTTGlobal is just over a week away and we are all getting very excited here at DTTT HQ! If you have been to #DTTTGlobal before, we are very much looking forward to welcoming you back again with two days worth of a stellar line-up of speakers, a great venue and so much more. If this is your first #DTTTGlobal, we hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed putting it all together, and hopefully you will meet the team somewhere between welcome smoothies, exploring Helsinki or enjoying a visit to the sauna.
For those of you who don’t know, this is our 7th DTTT Global and here’s why we are so excited.
1. The Host
We are very proud to be hosted by the beautiful city of Helsinki together with Visit Finland. With a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and all things digital, Helsinki is the ideal host city to line up some amazing keynote speakers and talks from industry around the world sharing their insights in digital.
Helsinki’s mission is to become a Smart Destination by the end of 2020, and Finland is already on route to achieving this after Helsinki recently won first place together with Lyon in the European Commission’s new European Capital of Smart Tourism 2019 competition.
2. The Speakers
From Dubai to San Diego, Puerto Rico to Canada, we will be welcoming fantastic speakers from a whole host of exciting DMOs from all around the world, discussing what their destinations are up to and the future of Destination Marketing.
3. The People
There is an incredible turnout expected, plus the great lineup of speakers which means plenty of opportunities to network and meet truly fantastic people from the industry! The whole DTTT team will also be attending. Keep an eye out for the team photo board and come over and say hi! We would love to meet everyone!
4. The Sauna
The event itself will take place in the new Amos Rex. A contemporary art museum in the heart of Helsinki with interesting architecture galore! A truly impressive venue and a real sight to be seen.
Not only will you get to visit this gem of Helsinki, you can also experience the Finnish way of life with a dip in a sea pool before warming up in the sauna, followed by great food, drinks and music. The Allas Sea Pool is located right in the middle of the city which cannot be found anywhere else in the world! A truly authentic experience.
5. The Programme
We have a host of Finnish companies who will be speaking about how they are pioneering tech and innovation within the destination marketing space, as well as further afield from Canada, who will be sharing its data-driven approach to encourage responsible visitation at some of the most beautiful national parks in the world. These are just a few reasons why we’re excited! On top of this, there will be plenty of storytelling, exploring and discovering, and we can’t wait!
