VisitBritain is just launched a new advertisement campaign to attract more visitors to Britain. The campaign, which is entitled The Sounds of Britain (//soundsofgreatbritain.visitbritain.com/split), will be used in TV and online advertising around the globe. It emphasises the diversity of Britain as a tourist destination, by mixing sounds of different experiences into the rhythm of the song “Feeling the Love” by Rudimental. The sound experiences include things typically associated with Britain, such as the pouring of a cup of tea, the sound of the steam railway, the beeping of a London cab, or the drumming of the royal guards.
INTERACTIVE DIGITAL VERSION
While the TV advertisement was launched beginning of this week across the key markets USA, Brazil, China, India, Gulf states and throughout Europe, the online version provides a strong interactive element. It allows users to create their own version of the ad, by mixing different elements into a personalised mash-up of video and sounds.
The digital ad also comes with a social media element, as it leads to a landing page with in-depth information about the personalised itinerary, enabling visitors to share it and explore further attractions.
