See What We've Been up to on Day 4 of XDW so Far

We’ve had a truly thought-provoking morning on day 4 of XDW discussing and prototyping on NFTs, centralised and decentralised networks and how they support artists & content creators and improve social-economic sustainability.

Blockchains and NFTs have many uses and can be interpreted in so many ways. Here are a few highlights by our panellists, Sophia (verse gallery NFT), Daniel (eXplorins), Maksim (WIN) and Franco (Cinello).

  1. In the arts and creative world, digitalisation supports overcoming barriers such as security, transferring and conservation in showcasing masterpieces globally.
  2. NFTs are a digitalisation method that allows acknowledging artists and exhibiting their work beyond conventional ways.
  3. Tourism & Travel suffers from intermediators. Blockchains systems can bring social-economical sustainability to systems and create equity.
  4. For the first time in the digital age, blockchain tech allows true ownership of content and assets.

Later we had Florian from KI.NRW joining us to discuss and contextualise AI and its many uses. AI is evolving and its uses are becoming more known to many industries.

Here are key takeaways from the session:

  1. AI has many prospects, from text to image to conversion to creating realistic & human-like avatars.
  2. The computational powers are blurring the line between digitals and reals.
  3. Implementing AI should be strategic and consider the ethical issues around the use of data in different contexts.
  4. Tourism & Travel can benefit from data for pattern recognition, forecasting and evaluations.
