Katharina Kamp started her professional journey with Visit Düsseldorf as a working student in 2022. In this role, she supported our team particularly in quality management but also in product development and in maintaining our sightseeing products on OTA platforms.

After successfully completing her studies in tourism management in 2023, we were able to take her on as a permanent member of our team due to her excellent qualifications. Since then, she has held the position of Manager Travel Services. She is characterised by her creativity, openness to new ideas and hands-on mentality. She is always actively involved in the team and is a valuable asset to our company.

In her current role, she is primarily responsible for the TOP key accounts in the overseas river cruise segment. Thanks to her international experience and excellent command of English, she is able to master this task superbly. She designs customised tours for the shipping companies, concludes new cooperation agreements with service providers, looks after existing shipping companies and takes care of invoicing and contracts. She is also involved in the acquisition of new shipping companies, holds co-operation talks and presents our tours.

Her contribution in quality management played a key role in designing our new tour guide training programme. Katharina is in charge of job interviews, supervises the training of new guides and conducts the final examinations. She therefore makes an enormous contribution to the quality assurance of our city tours.

Her impressive development from working student to Manager Travel Services and her tireless commitment make her an outstanding candidate for Digital Tourism Think Tank's International Youth Day.
