In a highly competitive tourism market, the Canary Islands are taking another step forward in innovation by redefining how they connect with younger generations. Based on a key insight—that children influence more than 60% of family holiday decisions—the initiative seeks to strengthen ties with the travellers of the future. To this end, the Canary Islands has become the first European destination to launch a tourist experience within Roblox.
‘Find The Seasouls’ invites players to discover endearing creatures that inhabit the ocean surrounding the Canary Islands. There are 160 different ones based on real species, allowing players to explore a wide variety of dynamics within the game. The mechanics consist of finding and interacting with as many Seasouls as possible; a challenge that encourages exploration, discovery and fun, motivating players to explore different scenarios across the eight islands. The proposal combines entertainment, education and sustainability, promoting environmental awareness in an immersive and safe environment for minors.
Complemented by promotional activities on Roblox Ads, social media and an immersive event in Madrid, the experience consolidates the Canary Islands as an international benchmark.
